Installation guide (tap for steps)
iPhone install video
Android install video

iPhone

  1. Open Settings → Cellular (called Mobile Service or Mobile Data on some versions).
  2. Tap Add eSIM → Use QR Code, then scan the QR code above from another screen.
  3. Only have this phone? Tap "Install on this iPhone" above, or choose Enter Details Manually and paste the SM-DP+ address and activation code shown above.

Android

  1. Open Settings → Network & internet → SIMs (on Samsung: Connections → SIM manager).
  2. Tap Add eSIM or Download a SIM instead, then choose to scan a QR code. This needs a second device to display the QR code above.
  3. Only have this phone? Choose to enter it manually instead, then paste the SM-DP+ address and activation code above — both fields can be copied with one tap.
  4. A faster route (not on every phone): press and hold the QR code above to save it as an image, then open that image in Google Photos — if a scan result appears, tap it to go straight to installation. If nothing appears, use the step above.

After installing

  1. Once you arrive, switch mobile data to this eSIM.
  2. Turn on Data Roaming — eSIMs connect as roaming, so without it you get no data.
  3. Your original number can keep calls and texts; just leave it off mobile data.

Installed, but no internet?

It is almost always a settings problem, not a faulty eSIM. Work through these in order — most people are online by step 3.

  1. Haven't left yet? Seeing "No Service" before you travel is normal — a travel eSIM only connects to networks at your destination.
  2. Set mobile data to this eSIM. Installing it is not the same as using it: on iPhone go to Settings → Cellular → Cellular Data and pick it; on Android open the SIM manager → Mobile data and pick it.
  3. Turn on data roaming for this eSIM — inside this eSIM's own settings, not your usual number's. Travel eSIMs always connect as roaming, so nothing works until this is on.
  4. Restart your phone and give it 1–2 minutes to register on the network. Or switch airplane mode on for 15 seconds, then off.
  5. Turn off automatic network selection and try the local operators one by one; switch back to automatic once you connect.
  6. Check how much data you have left — an empty plan simply will not connect, and you can top up if that is the case.
  7. Tried all of that and still cannot register on any operator? Check that your phone is not carrier-locked — a locked phone only accepts its original carrier's SIM until it is unlocked, so no eSIM will work. iPhone: Settings → General → About → Carrier Lock, which should read “No SIM restrictions”. Android: usually Settings → About phone → SIM status, though the exact path varies by brand. If it is locked, only your original carrier can unlock it — we cannot do it from our side.
  8. Still stuck? Contact us with your order number, your phone model, and whatever message is on screen.

A QR code can usually be installed only once. Do not delete the eSIM after installing. If you delete it or change phones, contact support and we will help.
